Vigneron Bob Christian says:
Lyn and I entered the wine industry in 1995 when we purchased a vineyard in Mudgee established with Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon grape. We added Shiraz, and then Vermentino and Savagnin Blanc grape.
Our first experience as vignerons was to sell grape, however in 2001 we expanded into making wine, contracting an experienced Mudgee winemaker to make a Cabernet Sauvignon. The result was so good, we followed in 2002 with a Chardonnay and in 2005 with a Shiraz.
Bob’s thumbprint became the label when we opened a Cellar Door in 2005.
The first vintage from the Vermentino and Savagnin Blanc grapes in 2012 was such a delicious blend, we took it to a second fermentation in the bottle to produce a wonderful and unique Vintage Sparkling! We now also produce Vintage Sparkling Chardonnay and Shiraz.

ThumbPrint Wines is located on a 25 acre property known as ‘Bungaroo’, just 5 Kms north from the Mudgee Clock Roundabout. We grow grapes, olives, cherries and pomegranates and are home to a family of horses, goats and cats. Luncheon Plates and Picnic Platters can be provided to enjoy in our restaurant area or outdoors under trees on the lawn.
